You know what, every year I used to feel a subconscious fear of my birthday. From years of over giving and people pleasing for everyone else. I used to fear if people would offer me the same amount of care and attention I gave in return and you know what, everyone did the best they could, but it didn’t always meet MY expectation. Thats the key part, MY expectations were not met because I wasn’t filling my own cup! I was expecting all the pouring out I had consistently done to come back to me and it didn’t. Until, this year as a result of releasing my expectations and being in receiving mode!

The past few years since being on my healing journey and prioritising filling up my cup I have had mixed feelings, last year my birthday fell in the Venus retrograde and I was met with my trauma wounds again. It was unfortunate that it did ruin my birthday, but what I learned and implemented from that experience has transformed my life for the better! I have shed some people, re aligned my boundaries and prioritised myself more than ever!

So, as a result of feeling the best I have felt in years and excited for this new chapter in my life I wanted to share with you 33 things i’ve learnt at 33. The numerology is great for 33 also! I turned 33 on the 22 both master numbers! 33 represents spiritual alignment (which I definitely feel - especailly after my summer of self love!) and 22 is the master builder I share this with other leaders such as Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey! I was born to lead and I am owning it! :)

Whether you are yet to be 33 or you have surpassed it, here’s 33 thing I have learnt since being on my healing journey:

  1. Your mindset is everything! Start prioritising writing down how your feeling so you can process your thoughts!

  2. Feel your feelings. Emotions have a cycle let them out! Vulnerability is humanness don’t hide it thats the part people relate to!

  3. I stopped caring about what my body looked like and more on what it feels like. We all have rolls and creases on our body, I spent so long trying to look ‘perfect’ now I focus on feeling good.

  4. What you put in your body matters. I had IBS for basically my whole life so I have had to be mindful of the food I eat, but what i’ve learnt is eat crap feel like crap. It’s that simple! Eat good you’ll feel good!

  5. Stop consuming rubbish. What I mean by that is scrolling social media, watching the news and negative things especially before bed but as a whole. I literally unfollow accounts that aren’t good vibes now. You absorb what you watch, you are a sponge!

  6. People will come and go and its just ok! I send so much love to all the people in my life the ones that have stayed the ones that have gone and the ones I am yet to meet. I am evolving at such a rapid pace that I understand if some people no longer relate to me it all ok, its all love!

  7. Share your talents! You came to this earth with a purpose, if you love to draw, draw! Do the thing man! life waits for no one!

  8. Get out your own way! Your limiting beliefs will keep holding you back your whole life unless you move past them. You have to choose to do things differently and stick to it!

  9. Be dedicated and consistent. Success happens through continuous practice, that is what mastery is. That might be in sport, art or just simply the work on yourself! 1% growth everyday is complete transformation even in a week let alone a year!

  10. Be kind to yourself!

  11. How you speak to yourself will dictate all the realtionships you have in your life. This is my self love piece again, you have to start with self acceptance and self respect. Affirmations worked for me BUT you cant start talking nicer to yourself after decades of self loathing, you have to fins the root cause of your limiting beliefs and release them in order to start the self love!   12. Receive! If you can’t receive you cant accept compliments, Love or abundance in any form! This is also linked to trauma patterns. If you are in flight or fight your body doesn’t feel safe to soften and to receive, somatic exercises, breathe work, meditation, journalling and of course working with a specialist (me) will transform this!

  13. Shake things up! Do something different often! Nothing grows in your comfort zone! If you do what you’ve always done you will always get the same result! Mix it up, take a different route home from work, go to a new coffee shop, take a dance class!

  14. Stop being a victim! Yes crap things happen but if you want to ensure that they dont happen any more you have to change the way you think! Again the mindset piece, but honestly this is the biggest one! It isn’t your fault of what happened to you, BUT you are in charge of the solution, get those big girl pants on and take some aligned action and accountability for you and your next steps!

  15. You have to feel abundant to be abundant. This is manifestation! You will not attract your desires feeling sorry for yourself! This is why enjoying life will bring you more joy!

  16. Feed your mind and soul. Immerse yourself in culture, try different foods and learn about other religions. You are here to expand!

  17. Protect your energy!! If you identify as an empath this is especially for you! I always imagine putting a bubble of light around me to protect me, I also shake off any energy from busy places when I leave them!

  18. Have iron clad boundaries with everything and everyone in your life. Yo! This! I will tattoo this on my forehead if I have to! You have to know what you are willing to accept and not and stick to it! Thats with everyone and everything in your life. Trust me you gain immense respect that way!

  19. Self care isn’t selfish its the most important thing you can do for yourself and your relationships! It’s filling your cup up 1st as when you are full you then have the capacity to pour out to others! It can be as simple as taking yourself out for coffee, a solo walk, listening to a podcast, do it on your own!

  20. Slow the F down! - This one I wish I new at 25! Yes life is short seize the moment BUT you dont enjoy anything when you are in a rush - and you don’t make great company either!

  21. Strip it all back. You don’t need to do 500 things a day! Trust me I did for 10 years and it only lead to more burn out. Keep it simple, don’t bombard your schedule, your social life, your tasks. It gets to be easy!

  22. Be bold, in your style and in life. Wear what makes you feel good - yes comfort is important but so if feeling and looking good. For example I feel amazing in my Pjs, not going to wear them out and about though you know! I am known for wearing different things and Im ok if people think it weird!

  23. Speak up about everything! Injustice of any kind is not on, so say something! You don’t need to raise your voice, but if you see something happening at work that you don’t like say, if someone talks down to you tell them you don’t want to be spoken to like that. People only know what they know, you get to set the bar for how people treat you!

  24. No is a full sentence. To my earlier points just even saying no is speaking your truth but also a boundary!!

  25. Open your mind to new perspectives. There is a buddhist quote that says the opposite of what you know is also true. Listen to other peoples views, you might learn something!

  26. Its ok to be wrong. Following on from the last point. We do only know what we know, especially beliefs and especially generational beliefs. From growing and evolving you may see that something you once thought so deeply is now not true and it’s ok. It’s more than ok, thats transformation!

  27. Its ok to change your mind. If you spent your whole life doing something and now you want to shift, do it! I have met so many people that felt they had to live up to their families expectation and so they made themselves small. Please don’t do that. Your life is yours no one else’s. There is no right way to happiness you can take any route, especially if the one your on isn’t lighting you up!

  28. Once and a while do nothing, create space! It’s not lazy to rest. You need to recharge!

  29. Love because you want to not because you have to. This is the power of intention and everyone feels it! Don’t keep people on your life out of obligation, it doesn’t serve anyone! When you know what you deserve and how you would like to be treated what you give will match what you feel and in turn you will get mirrored back that love. So if you are in loops of resentment right now, time for change. The best way to start is journalling!

  30. Experience things fully by being present. Allocate time for everything. Now as most of you know I am a Capricorn moon so I love me some structure. But honestly working with that has been a god send. You need an element of structure in your life to allow moments of flow, therefore knowing where you need to be and when allows you to time manage, prepare and be fully in the moment!

  31. You deserve to be treated! Let people give you things just because! I am big on generosity to a point where I would always be giving out. Now I do allow myself to be treated and in fact this august I have be treated like a Queen and its because I am one. :)

  32. Dream big. Look we get one go on this floating rock so please go for it! Do you want to live a beige life? I mean maybe you do? But I life in colour! I want to explore the world, inspire and motivate billions of people. I won’t compromise on that and I don’t want you to either! So many people told me to get my head out the clouds and yet here I am doing it!

  33. You will only ever be this version of you right now, now. I say to myself often ‘Be here now’. That phrase gets me into my body and out of my head. It allows me to be in the moment and soak it all in.

I hope from reading this more than anything you understand that transformation is possible! I do everything I do now for the version of myself I was. I am writing this welling up because I am just so proud of myself. I feel completely different. I am so embodied in this abundant timeline I almost forget how hard its been, but let me tell you I got here through doing the 1% a day. Doing the work, rituals and practices I set for myself. Being self aware and accountable for the role I play in all situations.

In the past 4 years and 8 months I have completely shifted out of the wounded warrior and into the embodied goddess. The softness and richness I now feel in every cell of my body is a by product of alchemising my pain to power.

I am so excited for chapter 33. I feel this is the year I harvest the fruits from the seeds I have sewn across the past few years!

I want you to know, you have to power to transform at any point in your life. All you need to do is choose to! You deserve to live a life of joy, excitement and passion. Abundance is your birthright!
