Why We Are Ditching 'New Year, New Me' for Nature's Soul Aligned Timeline
As we stand on the threshold of 2025, surrounded by the familiar chorus of "new year, new me" declarations, dont get caught up in the hype! Our calendars may mark January 1st as the start of a new cycle, nature tells a different story, one that resonates more deeply with our inner wisdom. In nature's calendar, the true new year begins in spring. Look outside your window now: the trees stand bare, creatures hibernate, and the earth lies dormant beneath winter's quiet blanket. If you're feeling stagnant or struggling to embrace the "new year" energy, you're not alone. You're simply in tune with the natural world's rhythm.
This manufactured January reset can feel forced because it is. We're pushing for renewal at a time when nature herself is telling us to rest, reflect, and dream into our future plans. Instead of fighting against this natural cycle, we can use this time more intentionally.
The Capricorn new moon offers us a perfect celestial ally for this transitional period. Rather than pushing for immediate transformation, this lunar energy invites us to release what no longer serves us, both mentally and physically - feeling ill? Full of cold? Headache? It's a time to quietly clear the path ahead, removing obstacles that accumulated throughout 2024, making space for what's to come. And an important reminder that the lessons you learned in 2024 will be the stepping stones for 2025 they were a necessary part of your journey, so make sure when you are reflecting and releasing to do it through understanding eyes!
As you plan your pathway into 2025, resist the urge to overhaul your entire life overnight. Instead, embrace the divine feminine approach to growth: organic, cyclical, and deeply respectful of natural timing. This means:
Setting intentions rather than resolutions
Moving at a pace that feels sustainable rather than punishing
Honoring your need for rest and reflection
Trusting that small, consistent steps create lasting change. So if getting a new job is on the cards maybe start by redoing your CV. Write a list of all your goals for 2025 and then underneath it write one thing you can start to do from now. This will not make your goals feel more achievable but it puts you in the frequency of believing and feeling deserving. It also ties together divine feminine and divine masculine principles ‘being’ and ‘doing’, that way round!
Remember, you're not behind if you're not charging full-speed ahead on January 1st. In fact, you might be more in tune with the natural world than those who are. Growth doesn't require a complete transformation or a "new you." The you that exists right now is already enough, already whole, already worthy of love and respect.
As you step into 2025, imagine yourself walking a spiral path rather than a straight line. Each step forward is part of a larger pattern, each pause is as valuable as each movement. Release the pressure to transform overnight and instead embrace the gentle art of becoming – one mindful step at a time. You can listen to my higher self visualisation here to put you in the energy of receiving and to see what you higher self has in store for you!
Be kind to yourself during this transition. Listen to your inner wisdom that might be calling for rest rather than revolution. Write things down! Your thoughts, dreams, fears and goals. they all hold power! Set your sights on your desires for the year ahead, but don't feel pressured to race toward them. Like a seed in winter soil, your dreams need time to take root before they can flourish.
The most profound changes often come not from forcing ourselves into new molds, but from gently nurturing who we already are. I’ve lived this enough times to tell you how true this is! Let this be your guide as you navigate the transition from one year to the next – not with the harsh energy of forced change, but with the soft power of intentional growth.
As you release the old and welcome the new, remember: you are nature too.
Your pace is perfect, your timing is your own, and your growth – like all natural processes – unfolds in its own divine time.
Happy New Moon in Capricorn, Happy New Year.
Plant your seeds Beautiful Soul,
Love and light xx
