Identifying and embracing your divine feminine archetype

I’ve transcribed this blog from my podcast episode 52. If you prefer to listen click here!

Today, I'd like to delve into the concept of divine feminine energy, which has been a profound journey for me, involving discovering and nurturing this energy within myself. Initially, I didn't fully grasp its meaning, but through my healing journey, I have come to understand it better. I often discuss the transition from toxic masculinity to feminine energy, and now feel like I have reached a point where I comprehend and embody it more deeply each day. It's crucial to acknowledge and embrace both masculine and feminine energies as they are both essential parts of our existence. Let's explore this further together, focusing on the perspective of a cisgendered woman like myself.
Masculine energy is often associated with 'doing,' while feminine energy is linked to 'being.' An analogy I find fitting is comparing masculine energy to a dam containing water and feminine energy to the flowing water itself. In astrology, water signs like Cancer symbolise the nurturing and emotional aspects, while earth signs like Capricorn represent stability and structure. Personally, discovering that my North Node is in Capricorn and my South Node is in Cancer has been enlightening, guiding me towards embracing my authority and leadership qualities.
Reflecting on my astrological placements, I realise the ongoing journey of balancing masculine and feminine energies in my life. Exploring various deities and goddesses in different cultures, such as Aphrodite, Hera, Venus, Mars, Kali, and Oshun, offers a deeper understanding of feminine archetypes and energies. The Crone and the Maiden archetypes represent different stages of life, emphasising the importance of incorporating both masculine and feminine energies for holistic growth and creation.
The concept of feminine archetypes, including the Lover, Huntress, Maiden, Mother, Queen, Mystic, and Sage, transcends generations and cultures, allowing individuals to connect with archetypes that resonate with them. By embracing these diverse energies and archetypes, we can tap into our inner power and achieve a sense of wholeness that we all seek.

Starting with the Maiden archetype, it represents a stage in our lives, possibly during our teenage years, characterised by empathy, creativity, and open-mindedness. The Maiden embodies youthful energy, a carefree and curious spirit, and a willingness to explore new experiences. Though some may feel they have all the answers during their adolescence, most are open to learning, listening, and trying new things. The Maiden's energy of curiosity, open-mindedness, and creativity can reignite our inner spark and help us rediscover what lights us up, especially when feeling stuck or disconnected from our purpose.

Moving on to the Lover archetype, she exudes magnetism, confidence, self-love, and radiance. The Lover embodies a stage of intertwining growth from the Maiden, where she knows what she desires and manifests it with confidence. This archetype encourages self-worth and deservingness, reflecting feminine traits of beauty and empowerment. She symbolizes the Empress energy in tarot, exuding a princess-like aura of divine femininity.

Transitioning to the Mother archetype, she embodies nurturing, compassion, wisdom, and experience. Trusted by all for her caregiving nature, she epitomizes the Cancer trait in astrology, radiating love and nurture to those around her. The Mother's role involves pouring back into others, offering support, compassion, and a listening ear. She embodies the wisdom gained from her Maiden and Lover stages, creating a nurturing and caring environment for those in her presence.

Moving up to the Queen archetype, which can be encountered at any stage of life, she symbolizes power, understanding, social grace, and leadership. The Queen comprehends herself, life, and others, demonstrating loyalty, boundary-setting, and a people-centric approach. She listens attentively to the needs of others and implements strategies to support and uplift them.

Transitioning to the Huntress archetype, she embodies independence, courage, goal-driven nature, and protection of other women. The Huntress is fiercely independent, focused on her goals, and unafraid of hard work. With a masculine energy, she defends and supports other women while maintaining a goal-oriented and determined approach.

Next, we encounter the Sage archetype, characterized by strategic thinking, wisdom, and practicality. The Sage offers thoughtful advice, guidance, and a higher perspective, drawing on lived experiences to provide valuable insights. This archetype's wisdom grows with age and experience, making it a source of guidance and inspiration.

Lastly, the Mystic archetype embodies introversion, spirituality, creativity, and inner peace. Focused on connecting to higher realms and inner knowing, the Mystic embraces intuition, spiritual growth, and detachment from the external world. This archetype prioritizes inner peace and spiritual connection, embodying a deep sense of intuition and spiritual wisdom.

I believe that one of our greatest strengths as women is our heightened intuition. While men also possess this ability, they may not always heed it as much as women do. Women tend to sense when something is off in every fiber of their being. Men have this capability too, but as I have not been a man, I cannot provide a definitive answer. However, I feel that a man in touch with his divine feminine side or a water sign may have a stronger connection.

Reflecting on my past choices, I remember feeling uneasy when I made decisions that were not in my best interest. Conversely, when I followed my instincts and acted upon them, the outcomes were rewarding in various ways, not necessarily in achieving a specific goal.

Considering these archetypes, did any one of them particularly resonate with you? It's essential to have a balance of all archetypes in our lives.

Although I have specified age ranges for each archetype, you may transition through them at different stages in life. For instance, you may have entered motherhood at a young age and are now experiencing your maiden phase by exploring new opportunities. Life has no set rules, and many people struggle with the idea that they should have accomplished certain things by a certain age, often comparing themselves to others, which can steal their joy. As a woman, society often questions our choices, such as returning to work after having a baby. My aim is to equip you with tools to harness your full potential and understand that different versions of yourself will shine at different times in your life. If you are currently feeling lost or stuck, maybe you need to embrace the Maiden energy and let go of restrictive structures. Structure, particularly in a rigid 9 to 5 setting, can be limiting for many individuals. I believe in the freedom to express ourselves through clothing and appearance, as they are extensions of our personalities. If you lack confidence, consider adding more color to your wardrobe to uplift your spirits, as external elements reflect our inner feelings. Manifestation involves both Divine masculine and Divine feminine energies. The masculine aspect sets goals, while the feminine aspect involves feeling and embodying those desires. Taking aligned action is a blend of both energies, listening to your intuition and following through. It's crucial to be in a receptive state when manifestations unfold, as they may appear differently than expected.

By tapping into these Divine feminine archetypes, you can realize your full potential and possibilities by embracing these energies. You may resonate with certain archetypes or deities, like how I now resonate more with the sage energy, associated with Athena, known for her strategic and logical approach. Tuning into your intuition and feeling deserving opens the path to a beautiful connection with the universe. You are deserving of your desires, and I encourage you to pursue them. I hope this inspires you to take action and explore new perspectives. I have posted more details on this topic on my Instagram, where you can find a grid post to identify with and gain self-awareness. Self-evaluation is key to understanding our power within.

I hope this provides you with some insights and inspiration.

I will be diving deeper into these archetypes and how to hardness your Divine Feminine energy at my event Thursday 23rd May Indulgence cafe Maidstone, Kent. 10.30-1.30pm grab your ticket here.

Many of us have suppressed this energy to conform to a patriarchal society, but it is time to reclaim it. Embracing the divine feminine energy has been a transformative process for me, and I believe we all deserve to tap into this beautiful power.

If you find yourself stuck in repeating cycles or attracting certain types of partners, it may be linked to your inner energy balance. We often mirror the energies we carry within, attracting similar energies from others. It is vital to understand and embody these aspects of ourselves to step into our true power and authenticity.

This event offers a platform to explore and ask questions about these concepts. Whether you are ready to engage in person or prefer self-study, there are options available to help you gain insight, self-awareness, and confidence.

Remember, you are worthy and deserving of all the positivity and abundance life has to offer.

Let your light shine brightly in the world and beyond.

Sending you love and light.
